A new year

This year I am going to concentrate on producing consistently good products. I am going to start selling this year and am considering setting up as a vendor at the Flagstaff Music Festival at the end of June. I am working on mugs and bowls of all sizes.

Another goal is to learn to take good photographs of my work. Thanks to suggestions from the Clayart list, I have a lot of things to try.

I have archives of prior work on my old website. Rather than move all of the photos and links to this site, I’m just going to give you some links to view the stuff. These links will open in new pages. Click the thumbnails to see bigger photos.

2003 & 2004

I didn’t produce much in 2005…

Kiln and kiln house

Filed under: Ceramics, Kiln & firings

Here’s my kiln. It’s an Olympic Torchbearer 2327G, propane fired cone 10 kiln. It has a capacity of 7 cubic feet - I can fit quite a bit of stuff in there. I bought it early in 2006.It is very powerful and I haven’t had the burners nearly open yet. All of my current work is bisqued to ^04 and fired to ^6. Paul built the awesome kiln house. The middle section of the roof comes off during firings.
